2013 UTB Title Taken By Unique Multimedia Duo

Unleash the Best brought together the most talented young musicians from across Victoria into the spotlight. The first-ever Victorian secondary school band competition of its kind, Unleash the Best started as a 12-week online music video competition and ended as a live concert, as part of the 2013 Melbourne International Jazz Festival closing day program. The Unleash the Best finals concert featured 11 secondary student bands (10 finalists and one wild card) from across Victoria, all vying for the big prize - a professional music video to be aired on the Australia Network across Asia. The day was filled with music and specialist workshops. The judges Ross Irwin, Louise Withers and Jake Mason said - "this much talent in one place was simply awesome!" The Tumbarumba samba experience engaged everyone and the day was a huge success. Now with the professional music video of the winning band in the edit suite – we will keep you posted for the online premiere.
